I have no idea, however I did bring back 8 cuttings from Ibiza, potted them in a sandy compost in the greenhouse on a heated propergator tray & they are all doing great. The ground which they were in was very dry so I just tried to copy really.Last edited by Bigmallly; 01-12-2009, 08:27 AM.sigpic“Gorillas are very intelligent, but they don't have to be as delicate as chimps -- they can just smash open the termite nest,”

i've got hibiscus given to me when a neighbour needed to move some....they took ages to come back to life after the move and now i've got to move them again.....however everyone seems to grow them here and they seem fairly hardy....have no idea how to prune them or anything..so not much use really.................

Mine was doing well until last year, putting on growth (upwards and outwards) and lots of lovely blooms. It was in my hot sunny border and, as with all my plants not in their first planting year, had to do or don't, with the exception of deadheading.
Label said don't prune, so I didn't... Flippin' dogs didn't read label and chewed it down to the ground almost. So this year I've had little stumpy and no flowers to admire. I'm hoping it will make it through the winter and I'll give it a feed of blood, fish & bone and some pelleted chicken poo in the spring and hope it gifts me with growth and flowers.
Then I shall admire it but not indulge it further. If a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing to excess
