There are so many aren't there?!
Although perhaps a little later, I enjoy kaffir lilies (Schizostylis coccinea) at the end of the summer, the hardy geraniums always add to home arranged cut flowers and cosmos seem to last well in arrangements.
My main aim is usually to find plenty of greenery and then a few flowers are usually all that is needed (always a bonus if they have a lovely scent like honey suckle or jasmine)
If anyone wants a few kaffir lily corms just PM me.Wars against nations are fought to change maps; wars against poverty are fought to map change – Muhammad Ali

There are so many older threads on this exact same subject. Have a snuffle through them.
Here's one: Cut Flower Bed
Also, this book is highly recommended. Got a library near you?Last edited by Two_Sheds; 10-02-2010, 08:23 AM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
