How do you make a growing wall?

I have been asked by a friend for information on creating a green wall in her garden. I haven't got a clue - but I just know someone out there has! Any ideas, folks?

i wanted to do this too BUT it looks very tricky havent looked at the link but i believe you have to put a scaffold and cover it with plastic and FELT which i would imagine gets incredibly heavy?
Would be very inerested if anyone knows of an alternative lighter method.......

My thoughts so far are to put a membrane on the wall first to stop too much water penetration, then something like rockwool? as a growing medium, followed by a roll of wire to hold the lot in - with a drip watering system running along the top and half way down. (I'm not going to make it though, as the person who wants it lives in Newcastle!)
M Blanc has patented his system and I can't find references to how he does it!
