From how I understand it, saving F1 or F2 seeds weekens the strain and is unpredictable. I recently asked a similar question to yours on another gardening forum and the response was a collective "Dont Bother" as F1/F2 plants come from two parent plants of different types...to maintain those qualities (that give you the F2 seeds you bought) the parents must be cross bred each year and seed saved. Your seed when grown and allowed to go to seed wont have the same qualities the next year.
