Best to wait till they've got their first true leaves , it'll make it easier.

Only three have germinated so far. I'll post pictures when they get their next leaves though.

Bit rubbish on germination. One was a cornflower, then I have these two.. any ideas? The shorter one looks like a weed to me - I'm sure we pull up something similar

                    1) looks like cosmos
                    2) looks like a mallow

1 does look like a cosmos - however there was no cosmos seed in the original photo.

what I tend to do is to sow mixed flower seed a pinch in modules, and see what comes up and sneak each module into gaps in the borders as and when.

However, this year, I put what I thought was a particularly fluffy cosmos in with others [flax etc] and lo and behold, I have a florence fennel. Bearing in mind I've never collected fennel from anyone's gardens [which is where I get my seed from]..I have no idea where it came from.

I would just like to say that my idea of sorting them into same seeds does not work with a packet of mixed perennial seeds. I gave up and just sprinkled. If you managed to sort yours you must have far better eyesight than me ...
