Sweet Peas

I thought the 40 sweet pea seeds I sowed into loo rolls were not going to make it and I had 20 back up that were just showing. So I sowed another 20 and my friend gave me a tray of peas from B & Q that contain about 200. Now my own are all appearing. Do they behave well if they're crowded, or should I start giving them away?!

The pots of sweetpeas on sale are always about a dozen to a small pot so I reckon you can crowd them in - but I'm sure your friends would value some as well!

just be mindful that they can get powdery mildew - although cutting off older leaves can improve air circulation

I have crowded mine, if i see signs that they are suffering because of this i will thin them out i have grown mine in root trainers in a cold frame since November.
