have got a bit carried away and realised i ordered around 300 bulbs to be delivered in the next few weeks. Has anyone got a preference on whether a dibber or an automatic bulb planter would be better. I have never used either and don't own either just don't fancy diging 300 holes! As always thanks in advance.

do not own a bulb planter but have used them in the past and to be honest, they are fiddly and slow (and seem to be very prone to breaking, or maybe I'm too rough with them). I split clumps and transplant bulbs by the barrowload at two of the gardens I work in at this time of year (snowdrops just now, daffies next month) and I just use my spade to slice open a groove in the soil to the required depth, drop in the bulbs and close it over again.Rat
