I bought this at the market last week. I removed the tag to google care etc and have lost the label. I just cannot find an image on the pc so can anyone identify it for me.

Hi Brengirl
I can tell you what it is as I have grown this in the past from seed. Sadly it is
not really hardy as I learnt to my cost and it past away over one winter. I must
sow one again. oops! Sorry I forgot to say it is called erythrina crista-galli.
I must sow some more.

Hey Bren, you now know what it is. Fine specimen too. I find they grow best against south s/west fence or wall. Best grown as a fan. It's legumious too so no need to feed it. Keep an eye out for the white one-var. alba, it's really elegant. You may need to fleece it in a bad winter if your anywhere above the line of Bristol. Seeds grow so easy - keep an eye on the pods after flowering. Dincur
