I have this shrub in a container and this year it is a sight to behold. I have tried saving seed in the past and I have heard of layering. Any suggestions for propagation would be appreciated.

That looks promising Nicos. It may not be the right time to do it but I'm sure it can spare me a couple of cuttings now. I will also take some hardwood in the autumn 'tis pretty in it?
Whoops! I tried to post but got a message that the post was too short. Don't look short to me does it you?Last edited by zazen999; 13-05-2010, 05:10 PM.

Hiya Bren. What you've got is an Exochorda. Grows into a loose open shrub. Flowers purest of spring white and flowers for about 7 weeks if the winds don't catch it. Have never heard of propagating from cuttings, Maybe layering. Think it's usually grafted as it is a rather week plant. But thye benefits are it'll never get to huge. Dincur
