One of my bestest neighbours (the one who gave me the dovecote) asked me for an i.d. on this. I didn't know but I thought someone on here might.

There is something about the plant that reminds me of a snowberry, Sarraceniac but the flowers look wrong - can you get a better picture of those (I'm assuming that's what is on the left hand branch)?Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to? -
Will try to get you a close up Jeanied. They are still buds as far as I can see but I will get one tomorrow and then, if still no I.D., will get one when they open.

If it is a honeysuckle then it will be one of the bush honeysuckles - lonicera maackii(?) - you'll know as soon as the flowers open.Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?Comment

Looks like a Common Snow Berry plant (See photo's below).Comment

It is a symphoricarpos (common snowberry) They love shady areas and are quite drought tolerant. Be careful if planting in the garden - they spread like wildfire
