There is something about the plant that reminds me of a snowberry, Sarraceniac but the flowers look wrong - can you get a better picture of those (I'm assuming that's what is on the left hand branch)?
Will try to get you a close up Jeanied. They are still buds as far as I can see but I will get one tomorrow and then, if still no I.D., will get one when they open.
Just editing to say that you could be heading in the right direction because Shiela says she thought it might ber some sort of Honeysuckle. Wikipedia tells me the snowberry is of that family.
It is a symphoricarpos (common snowberry) They love shady areas and are quite drought tolerant. Be careful if planting in the garden - they spread like wildfire
