  • echium pininana alba (tower of snow).

I am not putting this in Seed Swap because it is self sown seedlings of this plant and not a swap.

I had a load last year but the lousy winter killed them. But the good news is my Tower that was fully grown has dozens of self-sown seedlings. You can get the same thing on eBay at about £6-£7 when they are a bit bigger (come on, you're gardeners for goodness sake) so ....... if you promise faithfully to put £2 in a charity box, preferably British Heart Foundation but if you don't have a local branch then Cancer Research or maybe PDSA (but not RSPCA please) and PM me your addie then, at great personal expense I will send you a couple or so seedlings. Can't guarantee anything of course but I will send first class, which should only take 3-4 weeks. If you are not sure what I am offering then Google it. They are fantastic.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?

Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?

I have about 30 plants of this in my greenhouse (and still lots of seeds left too!) from the seeds you kindly sent me in the past - Thank you!
I can't wait for it to flower, I will plant out half and keep the rest in pots in case the outdoors lot don't make it through the winter (they're biennials), how cold do you think they can take?

        Well Vicky

Ours here in the Midlands died this last winter; so keep some back in case.

I sowed another pot of these at the weekend, or I'd have been chomping at the bit for some self sown seedlings.

They are indeed a magnificent plant.

I know I've grown them for years but last year was too much for them. I reckon a quick blast of -3 or -4 won't hurt too much but every time I think of the winter we just had, I want to cry.
