I spent the early Spring nurturing plants in my greenhouse as if they were my own family. Keeping them warm with central heating, well a parafin heater. Tucking them in with fleece at night. They grew slowly but survived! Frosts a couple of weeks ago nearly caught me out, but I guess I was lucky. And then!!!, temperatures over 25 degress last week frazzle my babies!!! The asters are really looking bad with yellowing leaves, along with, believe it or not the Sunflowers!!! I worked hard damping down, putting plants in water baths and ferrying them in and out of the GH, but I didn't do enough!! Gardening is tough! How do you do a good job gardening a keep down a full time job???

It's hard work isn't it? I would study the seed packets, and any that are described as 'hardy annuals' or 'perennials' could be turfed out of the greenhouse now, maybe even planted out. They should be tough enough to cope with any temperature drops, especially if you've had them outside during the day already.
'Half hardy annuals' will still need to be protected from temperatures below 5c., but it's very nearly safe up here in Yorkshire (the Hawthorn is flowering which is usually my cue to plant out) so you should be okay down in the Cotswolds.

Gardening for me is a labour of love. You learn something new all the time. I've learned to live with nature.......if you don't she kicks you in the teeth.
