I know its rather early to be thinking about this, but I like to plan ahead.
I have a number of perennial seedlings and cuttings that will be too small to put in the garden this year. Am I doing the right thing if I put them in a coldframe overwinter. Sould I water them when its really cold or are they safe from frosts if they are dry. They are lupins, aquelegia, asters, hardy fuscias and similar. I lost lots of plants that were in the coldframe last winter, but am not sure if it was the extreme weather or the wrong care.
Hope you can help.
