Any plant to repel dogs?

Hi all-first post so be gentle! I have a 2 year old Border Collie and a 16 week puppy (same breed) they love play fighting and whilst doing it don't care where they end up..usually my flower bed :-( I have built a huge trellis affair to keep them off the veg patch but don't really fancy turning my entire garden into Fort Knox, so was just wondering if there are any plants that dogs dont like the scent of (like the scaredy cat plant for cats) that might put them off a bit?
They dont tend to go on there when they are just wandering around out there but seem to lose all sense of direction when they are playing!

If they're playing they really won't take much notice of plants, whatever the scent. Maybe the best thing is to teach them that play is for certain areas only. Maybe the local park if dogs are allowed there? I've had dogs most of my life, but have always discouraged playfighting, particularly as I've always had young children (my own or grandchildren) around too.

I dont have children myself so that's no problem luckily, They play really well with each other so I don't want to discourage it I just thought if they caught a whiff of something it might just snap them back into reality for a mo!

I'd go for training too. A loud "NO" or a squirt of a water gun every time they stray onto the flower beds.

We have been training them and usually they are fine-its just when the mad pelting round the garden ensues and the brakes don't work too well! thought a whiff of something they found unpleasant might give them a bit of a wake up call!

I need that on my bike then, that something unpleasant-smelling. I got knocked off again today by an untrained pooch running wild on the bike lane. Lady said "oh, he won't hurt you". He already bladdy has, I said picking myself up.

Luckily mine only run wild in my own garden...out in public they are either on the lead (especially if there are bikes about) or if out in a field etc they are very good. Must be something in my garden thats the dog equivalent of catnip as it just seems to tip them over the edge(of the flowerbed generally)
Hope you are ok after your accident-and hope you told the owner exactly what you thought of her'non hurting' dog!

Sorry can't help with plants but when my dog was a pup she used to run amok and I'd say 'Ah Ah' to her not really thinking it would work but she learnt quite quickly to avoid the flower beds. Now she's grown up she still runs madly round the garden at speed at times but even though we've extended some beds and planted a couple of trees she avoids them all which amazes me! My son's dog comes and being much older she used to run round everywhere and I just hoped for limited damage but now she seems to have copied our dog and avoids everything too. So there's hope!
