My aunt, who is not a gardener, has a lawn with borders that she does nothing with apart from the occasional trim or mowing. After seeing what I'm doing with growing veg she is starting to get an interest in all things edible as she's due to retire soon. She's at the planning where to put stuff stage and wants to prepare the ground, get some manure in etc.
She has used some moss killer on her lawn which is now in brown patches but we don't know what to do next. I don't have a lawn so thought I'd ask you peeps who are the wise owls on here...
Do we dig out the dead moss and then re-sow grass or will the stuff that killed off the moss affect any new grass? Maybe she should leave it til next year.
One part of the lawn she may want to lift to have a bigger veg patch. Same question really, will the chemicals in the moss killer mean she shouldn't use the soil for a while.
Any help please?
