Mine are rubbish.
The ones planted out in the 'trough' in the garden are weedy and small. The ones still in their tubes in a seed tray are better. I really need to plant them out too.
Love sweet peas - my first last year.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

Practise makes us a little better, it doesn't make us perfect.

I sowed two packets of seeds in a trough, then something dug it all about so I bought two pots of seedlings at Homebase and put those in the trough. Said trough is now full to bursting as the seeds sprouted too Plants are about a foot tall and really getting going now - can't wait for the display to start.
I like mine to flower later as they were my wedding bouquet so I like to have a bunch in the house for our anniversary in mid-August.Happy Gardening,

I did sow them in the autumn though, and kept them over winter in my cold frame (which has a broken pane of glass!) They are quite tough. They went out in early spring, hung around for a few weeks, then they were off.Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

I have mine in containers which were planted up in Feb and kept in the greenhouse until the weather got milder and the Sweet Peas got too tall. They are on my South East facing deck climbing up some netting and looking good this year. Last year they were rubbish.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.
