We have two two-year old peonies, both in the same part of the front garden. On both we have had a couple of healthy flowers, but I've just noticed that the remaining buds (still closed tightly) have gone brown and dropped off, or are about to.
They have been moved, but flowered since then, and I THINK they are planted at the correct depth (I know peonies can be fussy about it).
I'm a bit baffled - the plants otherwise look healthy. Any ideas?
