    No pictures, sorry!

    Large bush type plant
Green, fairly large leaves, normal 'oval' type leaf shape

Flowers - are the shape of how an elderflower flowers are - large heads of flowers, but these are purple

Around the flower heads there are what look like larger 3 or 4 petalled white flowers, but on closer inspection, they look like leaves masquerading as flowers

    Any guess?

Nope, the flowers on the heads are teeny, like elderflower size (but purple)

Might try and get a pic tomorrow - have seen 2 in 2 days and am in love with them!

The only colour combo I can think of like that is Clematis Sieboldii, OWG.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

          Nope, not a clematis either - it's a large bush/shrub

Will bring my camera to work tomorrow and take a photo!

Can't be, she said it was nice

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

                YAY! It's a lacecap hydrangea!

I knew a Grape would be able to help out! When I googled hydrangea, I got tons of pics of 'normal' ones, didn't know about this kind....

Now you see I always think they look horribly twee - think it was cos when I was a kid an old (and somewhat smelly) old lady had them in her front garden and I always associate them with the smell of wee!

They have some planted on campus that I've never seen before - is surrounding by large grasses and looks stunning!
