Does anyone know where i can get many different types of lavender.

Also which types do you like best?

It will depend what you want your lavender for, SD.

I have three rows of lavender on my allotment - I grow it because the bees love it and I use it as an edging. Each time I have bought a six-pack of them from the garden centre - not very expensive.

The taller one of mine is a bit sprawly as an edging - I have clipped it back a lot this year so fingers crossed it survives. However the lavender flowers are drying upstairs on the spare bed, and this one loses the dried flowers nice and easily so I can make lavender bags. I like to give these as pressies at xmas. I think this one is Munstead

The other one is dwarf - very pretty - makes a good blue edging - but the flowers don't come off the stem so easily once dried. I think this one is Hidcote

I won't grow stoechas - the rabbits ear one - because it is a bit too tender.
