can someone help ID this flower, please

hi,

i have this flower come up every year in my garden,i havent a clue what it is! it was here 6 yrs ago when i moved in today i took some of the seed pods off that had gone brown. the seed pods are interesting, i could heat this popping noise when i was watching the tennis, took my ages to suss out that it was the seed pods popping open!

its starting to die now, so only one purple flower left.

also, i have collected the seed pods, theres one seed in each pod. i would like to sow them in a different place at some point, what would be the best time of yr to do so, and should i sow directly into the ground or into trays?

It looks like a vetch, which is a wildflower, Baby blue. Nice colour. Just scatter the seeds as soon as they are popping out of the seed pod where you want them to grow, and let nature do the rest.

Vetch, part of the pea family. Also sometimes known as wild sweet pea.

weeds are only wild flowers in the wrong place .... i've got quite a few weeds i let grow .... just cos they are pretty

I have it in my front garden - I do consider it a weed! It's where I don't want it and it doesn't take a hint!
