I need a climbing rose that flowers repeatedly

I would like to pick your brains if i may . We have built a pretty archway from coppiced silver birch branches , my plan is to train a climbing rose up and over it. I have a couple of climbing roses, and whilst they are gorgeous, their flowering season is rather short. Is there such a thing as climbing that will repeatedly flower over a few months at least?

i dunno much about roses, but some flower again when you dead head them .... i planted honeysuckle and clematis through mine, so as well as having a long flowering season, you get different flowers too ... or you could pick any other kind of co-ordinating climber with them

Climbing Roses. The variety depends entirely on your favourite colour. Pink Perpetue, Golden Showers, Climbing Iceberg, are a few to consider. If I had to chose one, then it would have to be Graham Thomas: An old English Yellow climbing rose - quite fragrant with large cupped flowers, flowers throughout the summer if dead-headed. A vigorous healthy variety that will reach 8'-10' (2.4 - 3.0m) in a few years.

Watch out for Iceberg - lovely white rose, repeat flowers but you need to deadhead to achieve this - and climbing Icebergs to get rather tall rather fast!!!

Awww... thanks Lynda , i will get stuck into them links an see what i can find. I really don't mind what colour so long as it flowers for more than a month. I have a honey suckle in place on one side of it already, and i particularly wanted a repeat flowering rose for the other side to give a bit o colour to it.

My Zepherine Drouhaine (excuse spelling) has flowered 3 times this year without any deadheading. It doesn't climb fast (mine is in a large tub though) and has the added advantage of no thorns. The flowers are a lovely pink and smell strongly of turkish delight.

I have schoolgirl which is peachy yellow and flowers a couple of times. I also have another yellow one but have no idea what it is but has had loads of flowers, both smell gorgeous.

Has anyone got one o these? I can't find any listed on ebay, does anyone know of a supplier? The white Iceberg quite takes my fancy too.
