last autumn I bought 3 plug plant of green chrysanths. which grew a few inches more then flowered. I left them outside all year and now they are nearly 5ft tall with still no sign of a bud. I have pinched out twice so they have a few side shoots, but no buds. Is there still time for them to flower or will they be shot down by the coming frosts?

My late flowering chrysanths are now in the greenhouse. Chrysanths can flower indoors into the new year depending on what cultivars they are. The way I see it is you have various options.

    1) Leave them where they are and hope they flower
    2) Build a makeshift frame covered with polythene around them.
    3) Dig them up with as much soil as possible and put them in the greenhouse.

Either way, they may not flower at all.
