Polyanthus in Bulb Compost

Hi All

Does anyone know if you can grow polyanthus in bulb compost. We bought four polyanthus plants at the weekend and then realised that the compost we were going to use was for the bulbs we bought - oops!

Wouldn't have thought so: polys like woodland-type conditions, so fairly moist. Bulb fibre is pretty dry
