  • A Question

I noticed this "Plant" whilst walking through woodland in County Durham in July. Maturity was signalled when all the "beads" turned to a bright orange from the original green. The life span was short, the item deteriorating after only a day or so. Height wise they were perhaps no more than a foot high.

Can one of you good folk tell me what it is?

    Thank you.

      Spot on!

Many thanks , Binley. After refering to the Wiki' link it looks almost certain that this item is what you suggest.
Very attractive but definitely something not to be messed with!

      Many thanks,

      Mark

Also called Jack in the Pulpit - for the spike in the hooded 'pulpit' when it flowers.
