  • What Is This Shrub Called?

I have this huge shrub behind my shed at the allotment.

It is at least 7ft tall and has a similar-sized spread.

    What is it?

I've taken lots of cuttings that all rooted easily.

    Thanks.

Is it a mallow? Hard to tell scale but the leaf looks like it.

I just looked at the mallows on the BBC Plant Finder but none look similar to me.

Weigela, you say? *Goes back to the BBC website*

Nah, second thoughts Weigela looks more like it - the Kolkwitzia has spots and markings in the throat of the flower.
