Hi Everyone, looking for tested donkey proof shrubs. I know Hyrandgeas mopheads etc are pretty safe with them. Some of the softer kinds would be scoffed down in a flash with them. Just wondered if anyone has any tried and tested experience. Cheers Din

I've no experience, but googled for you, because I was interested too:
"Donkeys like the roughage that the brambles and hawthorn found in hedges will provide. Donkeys ... can eat their way through a hedge before you realise what has happened, therefore you should always have additional perimeter fencing. Hedging provides natural shelter and is a natural windbreak.
Remember that hedges can harbour poisonous plants that need to be removed such as: yew, laurel, rhododendron, foxglove, oak, bracken, ragwort and deadly
nightshade" etc http://www.thedonkeysanctuary.org.uk...DonkeyCare.pdfAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
