I was given a leaf a few months ago,the plant grew a bit and it looks like it needs a bigger pot now.I know that it needs similar growing conditions as Saintpaulia.Could anyone tell me how big/fast these plants grow?Thank you

I grow lots of Streptocarpus plants - love them!! Do you know which variety it is? Some are more vigorous than others.If you can wait a few more weeks before you repot it - maybe the end of Feb. ?. -
I too love them and have Katie and Charlotte. Was very successful with propagating Katie last year and gave lots to friends and now have about 20 coming on some Charlotte leaves so hopefully they will start going when the weather improves a bit.Comment

I don't know the variety-I was given about 2'' pot with a bit of leaf in it from our neighbour.Had a look at Dibleys last night(bad thing to do,so many temptations).I used to grow Saintpaulia in my family home but they are very slow in growth.Spoke to my MIL last night,she said that they flower in the first year so a bit faster than Saintpaulia.
