    IIRC it self seeds every year - so once you have it it lasts for a good few years! (Unless you shear it to keep it compact and take the seed heads off).

      Thanks Jeanie! do you know if it does alright in partial shade?

      Got quite a big area which id like to cover but i dont think it gets the sun all day?

        It really does best in full sun but I reckon you would get away with sun for part of the day.

            You could start with sowing some seeds now- just make sure it doesn't go into the frost and cold when it is young.

                  It used to be known (in the Olden Days when I were a lass!) as Sweet Alyssum which is why the bees love it.
