I've got one that has been in for about 5 years and has always been fantastic. This year, the overall plant size is good - 3 foot in all directions - but the individual stems are looking a bit sparse and leggy. So, I was thinking maybe I should split it. This really does have nothing to do with the fact that I'm moving soon and might want a few bits and bobs to take with me. It would just be a lucky coincidence...
So, split or not? right time, wrong time? I have a feeling you're meant to do them in the autumn, but don't know where I got that from
There are plenty of little self-seeded ones, so I don't have to do the splitting in order to take one with me.
What are your wise suggestions?
