  • Blue Forget-me-not seeds came out pink?

This is my first time growing Forget-me-not. I love the blue little flowers. Some seeds were planted last year in winter. I used Sutton seeds and it says royal blue on the package.Today I went to check my plants, one of them has 2 pink flowers. Pink!! Pink!!! Pink!!!!

Is this normal, or is it because I'm growing them in acid soil? I heard blue flowers grow in alkaline soil.

It's completely normal (but annoying). You might also get some white flowers too

Thanks. At least I know it's normal, not Suttons problem. Hope I can get one blue out of 7 of them.

It turns blue after a few days. Sorry for my ignorance.

Hul's Queen's Gardens have some bedding displays with deep pink forget-me-nots. They look rather nice - you have to get up close before you realise what they are. There are also some beds with the blue ones in.

The acid / alkaline thing normally applies to hydrangeas Cyllo! Not heard of it applying to other flowers but I am open to suggestions on that one!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?
