dogs and grass?

my bitch has a favourite spot to pee, unfortunately right in front of the patio and the grass is completely dead. Is there grass seed that I can use that will actually grow? i have put down normal seed which results in nothing, and it looks awful, any advice would be appreciated, I do water it to try and dilute where she has been but no success

There isn't a great deal you can do about the damage a bitch's urine causes to grass.
Some people say a small amount of tomato sauce in her food can help to neutralize her urine, i haven't this.
It's really a case of training her to go to the loo elsewhere, preferable a hard surface which can be hosed off or an out of the way spot that doesn't matter. Otherwise it's a case of keep on re-sowing/turfing each spot as it dies.

Once you have replaced the ruined patch, keep a large watering can handy and well water where your bitch has used. This will stop the grass dying.
