  • Converted Morrisons Pot

    Hello all,

Last week I decided to try converting a Morrisons pot to house some nasturtiums as I had more germinate than expected and have a lot of them! (And proving very useful too, several are attracting black fly and as yet there are none on anything else *touch wood*)

I also put in some marigolds (again, got a bit enthusiastic with the sowing!). It's not the most attractive thing ever but it serves a purpose, very cheap to do and looks okay. I cut four holes evenly spaced around the pot and planted a nasturtium in each hole, then planted at the top also.

My missus really like her nasturtiums, she's got them everywhere, I have to say, they mix very well in a hanging basket with Lobelia, we've planted young Lobelia, then planted nasturtiums seed in amongst the Lobelia, they both grow great together, and you'll get a really great display when they are both flowering well, and in some of my baskets, I've used a Dahlia as the crown to the basket, and it looks realy beautiful.
