      Hi,
The second pic defo looks like peony, I have some in my garden(my mother thought I would like them, didn't have the heart to tell her I didn't) When I moved them they didn't flower the first year. I dont know what the first pic is though.

I'd go with the lily theory looking at the way the stems are developing.

Definitely looks lily-oid to me. Could it be those Princess Lily things they were pushing a few years ago? Can't remember the propper name - it'll come back to me eventually - I'm a bit hard of thinking these days. You get them in cut flower bunches and the leaves look just like this.

Hi, Maybe Solomons Seal (polygonatum) I've just bought some plug plants from T & M and they look very similar. What sort of roots do they have on them? Solomons are Rhizomes.

Remembered what I meant - alstromeria or princess lily. Dont' shoot me for the spelling! Old Timers' disease is a terrible thing!

The mystery plant looks very much like the off shoots from a lily bulb now it has grown a bit.

We are definitely coming down on the side of the lily here! I'd be interested to see the flowers - if you don't dig it up with the peony!
