  • Gazania seeds

Last year I sowed 10 seeds and got about 7 seedlings, germinated in the heated prop. Easy-peasy! This year we've sowed 2 lots and got nothing, well a couple of leaves appeared in one module, but just died.

Are the seeds incredibly short-lived like parsnips?

I've sowed some this year that was about 3 years old and they've come up SBP, that said I'n struggling with my Tagetes this year - I suspect I had some dodgy compost as a later sowing with different compost seems to be OK.

Thanks Nick, I'll try the last of the packet then. Also need to sow the Cyprus self-saved seeds, so I'll put the heated prop back on.

ps Bishops Children seeds - in the prop or not? 3 out of 10 last time in the prop.

pass I did mine on my prop bench & they came thru OK. Stand the seed tray in a dish of water till you see the surface go darker it will then be fully loaded then and then put a sheet of glass on it if you propagator is uncovered
