  • Unhappy Bougainvillea

As the title suggests I have a very unhappy bougainvillea.

We bought it early last summer and kept it in a south facing conservatory and it did really well, particularly when it was well watered.

Recently the plant has been suffering from greenfly (i have sprayed) and leaf drop. The temp drops in there to about 10 degrees at night, maybe a little lower.

Any ideas what would be causing the drop? Is it likely to be the cold? any advice with getting it back on the road to recovery?

I seem to remember them losing their leaves over winter in Greece when it was colder than usual
    I was right
Must be kept in a frost-free position in winter. And can be stored at 2-3°C.
Under 10°C Bougainvillea will tend to go deciduous, but will leaf up again when it gets warmer.
