Thanks 2sheds, I love your camelias, they look amazing. I have only ever managed to kill the ones we had in the garden - (moved from pots to the ground), thought they neded plenty of sun?

Think your cabbage palm is a cordyline? I had 2 magnificent ones in pots outside the fornt door at my old house, moved them both onto gravel area in questoin and they both died!

      Are you sensing a theme?!

I will look into the camelias as they look splendid and think I saw a pic somewhere of a tall rose in a pot looking similar....

      Thanks

        Coco Chanel's favourite flower

I hate pink, so I cut all the flowers off as soon as they appear and give them away

I'm trying to root some cuttings, but I think they'll be a long while yet.
I might treat myself to a few more white ones from my favourite auction site

Not at all. They are all evergreen and naturally grow in the partial shade of mountain forests of Japan/China/Korea
