  • Transplanting self-seeded nasturtiums and Cosmos

    Hi,
I have lots of these coming up in the wrong places from last year's plants. They are flying at the moment and starting to get big. I wonder do these transplant well? Has anyone done it successfully?
    Thanks!

I've transplanted things that don't like being moved/having their roots disturbed. I just dig up enough ground to include as much of the rootball as possible

I had to transplant a few cosmos last summer - about half did well and the other half not. I found doing it in the evening better as there was more recovery time before it got really hot and wilted them. They're out there self seeding right now so will prob have thousands next summer!

Thanks. I moved a few of each taking a good climp of soil with them and so far there is no wilting. Touch wood ...
