I like Vipers Bugloss too - wouldn't mind that self seeding. The wild flower that drives me mad is Pink Campion!

Wish I could send you the plants I've been digging out! They're taking up space that I require for other purposes. And most of mine are orange, blech.

A washed out Red, 2S!! I like it to, in moderation but it's everywhere. We need to arrange a wildflower swap. I'm sure that between us we could all end up with the plants we prefer

Thank you, we have it growing in part of our lawn ( orange hawkweed) though it was quite pretty but had no idea what it was...better dig it up as it's spreading rapidly!

                    AAAaaaah!

                    To quote someone
"It's bl@@dy orange hawkweed, aka fox and cubs, aka pilosella aurantiaca"!

Be thankful though that its not bindweed, japanese knotweed etc etc
At least these have pretty and cheerfully bright coloured flowers.
It is shallow rooted and easy to yank out. I have it popping up all over the place
but leave it where it adds a touch of zest to the colour scheme.

Just spray with a systemic week killer and that will be the end of it.

Thanks, but my weeks get killed quite fast enough without chemical assistance.

Weed killer wouldn't have been an option anyway as I'm reviving a neglected cottage garden and there were quite a few plants worth keeping.
