  • Anyone else love snapdragons?

Anyone else love snapdragons? - Had a pot that I'd just left - so has been outside overwinter etc - now same pot outside front of house full of beautiful yellow snapdragons. Sadly still waiting for Sansung Kies to actually WORK again with computer - or new digital camera that was gonna buy with Tesco vouchers that then didnt work and waiting for them to be re-activated before I can post pics

Perinnials have to be the best for hanging baskets and pots dont they if you can have the patience to wait long enough for them to all sprout up again?
They seem hardier and the pinks that I have have bloomed profusely for the last three years - saves a LOT of money for people on their own like me - just where to store the 'blank' pots when they are overwintering

They're great! Last years are flowering already and I went a bit crazy with a packet of seeds so there are a lot of newbies to flower a bit later and in several people's gardens cos I pricked out 50 and still had half a seed tray left!

          Fab in dry famished soils

Always loved anti's since I was wee and helping my Gran
planting them all along the drive with lobelia.
I particularly value them for being able to grow in dry famished soils.
I actually think this is what they prefer as they thrive in these conditions,
flowering their heads off! Once you have them you will always have them.
          A bit like forget-me-nots!

          "Madame Butterfly" f1 particularly fab

Yes, my neighbour's ones started growing as weeds up my drive somehow. They're lovely weeds though, I wouldn't mind growing some myself.

I love snapdragons as they flower all summer, especially when it's cool and wet (that's means every year!) and I can also feed the flowers to my tortoise, he loves 'em.

I love 'em too - one of my favourite flowers when I was a kid.
