  • Astrantia - to late to sow seeds?

I've been after some Astrantia for a while, ever since I saw some on tv and really liked them. I found a packet of seeds recently and bought them on a whim but is it too late to plant them? And will they do ok in a container or do they really need to be in the ground? (I am really only a container gardener but if necessary I could sneak some into the ground outside my flat!). If I put them in a container, what could I plant alongside them?

ETA - title should, of course, say too late to sow seeds!

According to the list of seed sowing times I found on Nicky's nurseries, no- you can sow them in July and August.
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

      That's great, thanks.

I think I might sneak a few seeds into the communal gardens out front and see how long they take to come up and what they look like, then I can plan where I want to put the rest next year.
