  • First Ever Giant Sunflower

My Grandson's class sowed sunflower seeds for mothers day. He brought it to me to grown on, but a bird got in the greenhouse and knocked a number of plants off the side and it looked like the demise of his sunflower.
But i repotted it, nurtured it, hardened it off and planted it outside in a 12 inch pot just as the rains came.
However, it started to grow and i kept it fed with raw liquid from the wormery and this week it flowered.
Its over 9 foot tall now.

My grandson, aged nine is well chuffed with it.
