  • Let's See Yours - Snowdrops!

It's that time of year when I know a few of us are delighting in our snowdrops pushing forth and flowering. So I thought I'd post mine here and hopefully I will get to see yours
VC I hope you will oblige me!

None up yet I hope I've not lost them *worried now*

Blubells have started peeking through the soil, though.

Nice clump Bren. Just been in the woods with the dog and it's carpeted. Never seen so many in years. Good omen?

The sun still hasn't reached the lawn snowdrops today so you'll have to make do with these

All my old sets of snowdrops have came up this spring but not the new bulbs. Most crocus and snakes head's haven't come up or only a few. Think all this rainfall made most of mine rot. We have very heavy and boggy garden but this year has been the worst out of the 10 yrs.

                              Hi

Here is a clump of snowdrops in the currant bushes bed. I keep the soil weeded underneath the red/black and whitecurrants all year round and my aim is to continue to add to the several clumps of snowdrops already in this bed - eventually my dream is a white carpet in early spring, before the bare bushes above burst themselves into life.
Also around the bases of the plum/apple/pear trees you can see I too keep this weeded but with the fruit trees it is crocuses I have planted. A single colour under each tree. Here you can see the crocus are not quite yet in flower.
Such small plants as crocus or snowdrop hearald spring and are small so cause no problems for the bushes or trees above.
