Thats my next door neighbours sons tree house SBP. Some of the other neighbours moaned about it but it doesn't bother me as the clematis has covered it now & w regularly get a black bird nest in amongst it!
That was about 2 years old when that was taken. it was planted by the arch (between the arch and the fence and has spread both ways about that much plus covering the tree house ! Like I say I cut the shoots back fairly regular during the early part of summer so there is enough new growth to support he flowers.
That one is a double flower JA, if yours is a single flower it will be Clematis Montana 'rubens' for a guess or may be 'elizabeth' as I think that has pale pink flowers as well. still pretty vigourous but the root of that one is in the cool & damp (plus it gets the dregs of the feed in the watering can !!)
