I want a rose to provide interest to the top of a smallish shed. My plan would be to give it something to scramble up, and then net the top of the shed. I'm fine with pruning it and so on to get a specific shape-I'm more used to pruning fruit trees but I'm assuming with instructions it won't be too hard.
My questions are
1. Would this work?
2. The shed is around 10 ft high, I think. Whatever standard size shed come in. What kind of rose would I need-rambling or climbing?
3. If anyone has any specific recommendations either for lovely roses or reliable websites, that would be great! One thing is that it needs to be both flowering over a long season and highly scented. Right now I'm looking at "‘Madame Grégoire Staechelin’".
4. Oh the shed roof is partially shaded. Would this be a problem?
