Sorbia gift

Hello,

I've been given a 'sorbia' as a gift. It's currently around 6 inches high with fern-like leaves.

Any advice on where to plant it, ie sun or shade?

They get about 3ft high x 5ft wide but they don't mind being "shaped" with a hedgecutter (my neighbour has one that gets in the way at hedge cutting time )
