Plugs

Thanks to an offer in GW magazine, I have recieved 48 lavander plug plants about 2 cm each....

What next? In grou or pot them on.

I got simular last year and they are now same size as shop bought ones. Must like my garden.

I pot them on first, into pots about 2 inches bigger than the root ball (so they have an extra inch of compost all round), and don't usually plant them out until the roots fill that pot. I've found that putting them out in the ground before the roots are a reasonable size makes them struggle. Mind you, I'm on heavy-ish clay, they might be okay in sandy soil.
