    This is growing in my backyard? Any idea what it could be?

    Looks like borage to me. Goes lovely in a Pimms.

          Thanks a lot. I too thought it was borage but the leaves looked very different. Did you notice the leaves?

              If its those jagged toothed leaves - its not borage. Don't know what it is though!
              Are you new to your garden? If not, was it there last year?

                I agree with VC - it's not borage. Almost looks phacelia like, but not ferny enough. Pretty though.

                  Here u go! I had a spare patch where I sowed a medow mix - packet says cornflower, borage, creeping daisy, cosmos.

                      My first guess was phacelia too, but it isn't on the list.
                      Looking at it sideways has it got a curled up spike of flowers or a bunch on the end of the stem? it is difficult to tell from the top down close-up.

                        I to have no idea what it is,i first thought borage,then realided the borage i had was blue,with single leaved,and a bit prickly/itchy,
                        sigpicAnother nutter ,wife,mother, nan and nanan,love my growing places,seed collection and sharing,also one of these

                            None of the ones you list look like the photo. As Muddyfeet said, a photo of the flower head from the side might help!
