Looks like a Cranesbill (geranium). They come in many varieties so can't say which. They seed themselves and you can collect the new plants and move them to where you want them. When they finish flowering if you cut them back they may flower again later.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.
No - I'm not swearing! It looks like a type of hardy, native geranium, sometimes called Cranes Bills because the seed pods look like..... wait for it..... cranes bills!

The weeks and the years are fine. It's the days I can't cope with!
Definitely some sort of cranesbill or native geranium. Don't know which variety (if they have seeded themselves it could even be a completely new variety)
I've got cranesbills in all shades of pink from palest pink through to very dark purple - and in various shades of blue.
This one just seeded itself in the path here. I suppose I should have it out of there.
Seed weed of the first order! Dead head it if you do not want an invasion and the seeds can be ejected a long way from their spring loaded seed capsule!
Phaeum is mourning widow. Nick has put in an extra adjective but he was right! I have it, also the white form, phaeum album. I love the hardy geraniums. Really good value. I also have loads of stuff growing between the path and the garage Alice, which I don't remove. I love the softening effect of the plants - much nicer than concrete!
I've got mourning widow, but its b. useless!!! smallest, most inconspicous thing ever and only seems to flower for about 2 days of the year.... got loads of others which are all much better (pink to purple though). would like my phaem to do better - shall I move it? tis in a place where it gets sun through the mornings, then in shade. quite heavy soil, but ok drainage I think.
hi beach chick, mine isnt big at all either and the flowers go quickly too, they are so small, you gotto get a close-up to appreciate them, and their facing the fence unless there were masses of them, and mine in clay-soil too, was thinking of moving it too.
