Pot plant suggestion pls.

I have a pot next to my back door (about 30cm diameter) and Im looking for something to go in it. Currently has catnip in but the cats dont care and someone pointed out it looks like a tub of stinging nettles!!LOL
So....something nice and flowery for the summer and idiot proof for me! Its a sheltered spot, full sun til about lunchtime then in shade.
Any ideas??

Lavender easy to grow bees love it and it smells fantastic fresh or dried

hmm, I got lavender in the garden and it is great but not sure I want to be brushing past bee laden bushes everytime I go out the back door!
Anymore suggestions??

What about a small conifer I believe there evergreen too
