Could someone please tell me the best and easiest way to take rose cuttings? Id imagine this is not the best time of year to take cuttings but I don't really know. I know my mum took all sorts of cuttings all year round, stuck them in the ground and they just grew but then her fingers were exceptionally green!
When our beloved old dog died a few years ago a friend brought round an beautiful bouquet of orange roses. I stuck one rose into the ground over the grave and to my amazement it took root. Kept growing all winter but then it died. Its root system was so small it didn't have much hope of survival, sadly.
Any advice would be very welcome.
